The Daily Minor Planet

The next episode of our Friday Night Show airs on September 6th at 9pm Pacific time!

Would you like to find an asteroid? With this Citizen Science Project, maybe you can!

“At the Zooniverse, anyone can be a researcher

“The Catalina Sky Survey is a NASA-funded project dedicated to discovering and tracking near-Earth asteroids. Since 1998 we have discovered thousands of near-Earth asteroids and many more main-belt asteroids. We collect an enormous volume of image data. Although we have state-of-the-art cameras, detection software, and a small team of full-time professional observers, we lack capacity to identify and verify all objects of interest. We need your help! Join us to find the unreported main-belt and near-Earth asteroids that slip through the digital cracks of our detection system.” ~Zooniverse

Join Jeff and Pam LIVE on Friday nights at 9pm Pacific time, USA.

The Friday night show is broadcast on FB and YouTube – just look for Everyday Spacer on either platform.

If you’d like to ask questions, share Space Station sightings or ask what planet you saw in the sky, we’ll help you out. We’ll have a main topic or a guest, then share the highlights of the week ahead and the rest will be ad lib. It might be VERY ad lib sometimes! LOL
