While we’ve already discussed ways to prepare yourself specifically for space travel, you probably need to think in terms of other types of education as well.
What might be most needed once we live and work and play off world? Could you specialize in that? How could you do that from right where you are, right this minute?
How about start with some online sources like these online libraries.
We touched upon Khan Academy briefly last time, let’s go a bit more in depth here. From the website:
Learn almost anything for free.
With a library of over 3,500 videos on everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history and hundreds of skills to practice, we’re on a mission to help you learn what you want, when you want, at your own pace.
We are a donor-supported not-for-profit and would not be possible without the generous support of users everywhere. In particular, we’d like to thank The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Ann & John Doerr, the O’Sullivan Foundation, Reed Hastings, Google, and the Windsong Trust for their strong support of our mission. ~Khan Academy
The introductory ‘How to use Khan Academy’ video (pictured) is very informative and helps you pick a direction to go – and you earn points for watching it, if you are logged in. Membership is free.
Watch for more great tools like this as I find them and learn how to use them.
Just for fun…
