What Would You Do With a Million dollars?

In our mastermind group, we’ve been exploring the question “What would you do with a million dollars?”

What would you do with a million dollars?

I’ve heard two stories about people being offered a million dollars now.  Even if they are just ‘stories,’ the lesson remains the same.

In the first case, it was a presenter at a spacer conference awhile back.  The presentation was so good, that someone with money to invest asked afterward ‘what would you do with a million dollars?’ and the presenter, not being prepared for such a question, choked on the answer.

The other story, I just heard in my mastermind group.  Our partner explained that a priest or minister had given this question some serious thought, came up with an answer then ran a newspaper ad.  The ad pronounced that the Sunday sermon would be ‘what the minister would do with a million dollars’ and they came to hear what the minister would do with a million dollars.

Can you tell what happened in each case?

Please give this some serious thought because it could happen to you!  If it does, you will either be prepared to tell someone what you will do with the money or you will not.  If it happens, who do you think will get that reward?

We are currently planning the focus project for the Contest in July.  This project is a ‘seed crystal’ (pictured) for the entire plan.  Sure, there are other ways to go.  This project helps fulfill the “Space-Scalable” category as well as investor concerns that space projects are too risky.

Batting about the question ‘What would you do with a million dollars’ has helped to clarify a, perhaps, key component in this contest for us.

What’s in it for the ‘investors’ – the Foundation, ATK, etc. who are pooling their resources to bring to light a winner?

Will they see our solution as the best one to do the job?  The project probably is.  Now it’s a matter of demonstrating to them that it’s the best solution this year and convincing them that we are the team to do it.

We still have room for you.  Won’t you consider joining us?
