What’s the Scoop? For Real?

When I mentioned Social Media before, I missed Twitter for some reason.  If you can sort through all the noise, it can be a great source of information.  You can get real news from regular folks on the ground, right where it’s happening before it even hits the news feeds, and without any media spin.  It may not be ‘objective’ yet you can triangulate information from several raw sources to form your own conclusions.

I’ve been thinking about the (USA) election and how we get news and it occurs to me that Twitter can be a valuable resource for spacers too.

Are you on Twitter?  Who do you follow?  Well, what would you like to learn?  I have several accounts and one is all about space stuff.  Here are some of the people and organizations I follow there…

For news
Space.com

For kids
FOGE

Astronauts
Capt. Mike Foreman
Sunita Williams
Gregory H. Johnson

Astronomy
Astronomy Blog

Organizations
Canadian Space Agency
SpaceX

And many, many more.

Oh, and if you want to follow me, here’s the link:  https://twitter.com/pioniwol – see all the people & organizations I follow!  There are over 360 so far.
